Msaada, whose name means "help" in Swahili, is proud of her heritage and neighborhood. Despite her pride, she openly rejects negative stereotypes associated with the "ghetto." She's a self-proclaimed "nerdy kid from South Central." She's involved in an interracial relationship to the dismay of her father. Her boyfriend Vincent is a Parisian magician. Msaada comes from a very religious, close-knit family. She lives with four sisters and her father, who is a preacher. She hopes to learn more about the bible, and experience the fellowship of church. She does not drink or use drugs. Msaada is a very focused and talented young woman. This trip is going to take her out of her comfort zone and immerse her in an unpredictable journey.
